C4L Calc ("we," "our," or "us") operates the C4L Calc application and website at c4lcalc.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password. We do not store plaintext passwords.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, CVVs, or full card details. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Usage data: We store the financial data you enter into the calculator (property details, projections, offering memorandum content) so you can access it across sessions. This data is associated with your account.

Photos: If you upload property photos for offering memorandums, they are stored securely in cloud storage associated with your account.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the C4L Calc service
• To process payments and manage your subscription
• To save your work so it persists across sessions and devices
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets, login links)

AI-Generated Content

C4L Calc offers optional AI-powered content generation for offering memorandums. When you use this feature, property and financial data you have entered is sent to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini) to generate text. This data is sent only when you explicitly click a "Generate" button and is not stored by the AI provider beyond processing your request.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

• Stripe — for payment processing
• Supabase — for authentication and data storage (hosted on secure cloud infrastructure)
• Google Gemini — for AI content generation (only when you request it)
• Vercel — for hosting the application

Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security on database tables, JWT-based authentication, and server-side API key management. Source code is obfuscated and console output is stripped from production builds.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data will be removed. Subscription records may be retained for accounting and legal purposes.

Your Rights

You may:

• Access the data associated with your account at any time through the app
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
• Cancel your subscription at any time from the Account screen

Children's Privacy

C4L Calc is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
